FRAGMENTS AND CONTRASTS (FRAGMENTOS Y CONTRASTES) Exhibition by Bernard Plossu, Javier Campano, Paula Rubio Infante (June 5 - July 20, 2008)

PHOTOESPAÑA2008.

Two photographers bring their poetic vision of reality to "Fragments and Contrasts."

BERNARD PLOSSY (South Vietnam 1945). His work has been described as poetic realism, his photographs have been influenced by the Nouvelle Vague cinema of the 50s and 60s. This exhibition seeks the seduction of the night in places like Mexico, Portugal, California...

JAVIER CAMPANO (Madrid 1950) is part of a generation of photographers of the 80s known for the elegance of their work. In "Fragments and Contrasts" he shows us corners and stops at crossroads where signs indicate the road to follow: Ojos Negros, 7 km away.

PAULA RUBIO INFANTE (Madrid 1977) uses the language of photography as a means of carrying out her work, which takes the form of an installation with large-scale photographs depicting two parallel celebrations of two different cultures. The exhibition "Fragments and Contrasts" shows us the experience of three travellers who wield their camera when they stumble upon eachother in: Tecolutla, Coimbra, Tétouan, Arizona, Níjar, Marseille, Ojos Negros, Segovia and Lola.
